1. Imperial College London

ICL is a public research university in London, England. It has a long history, starting with Prince Albert, the spouse of Queen Victoria, who dreamed of creating a cultural area including the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Museum of Natural History and several royal colleges. Today, ICL specializes in science, research, engineering, medicine and business with an entrepreneurial culture. UCL's main campus is located in South Kensington, where most of the teaching and research takes place, while the second campus in White City serves as a platform for innovation. The University additionally operates teaching hospitals throughout London, forming an academic health science center. ICL was previously part of the University of London, but became independent in 2007.

Aeronautical engineering is studied by ICL students at the Faculty of Aeronautics. University of Salford is a public research university located in Salford, Greater Manchester, England, just 1 mile west of Manchester city center. University of Hertfordshire is a member of the University Alliance, a group of UK universities dedicated to providing practical and vocational education. The university has its own bio and a science park: 6,000 square meters of laboratory and office space for businesses involved in life sciences and health technology. 

Foreign students can study aeronautical engineering in the Architecture and Design program. The course is taught by international professionals in their field and focuses on working with different types of buildings and spaces: students have the opportunity to participate in real projects and international collaborations, interact with industry representatives and learn from renowned architects.

29. University of South Wales

Based in South Wales, UK, University of South Wales was founded in 2013 by combining two popular institutions: the University of Glamorgan and the University of Wales, Newport. Today, it has four campuses: 

• Treforest;

• Cardiff;

• Newport City;

• Caerleon. 

Annually over 30,000 international students from over 120 countries start their educational year at the university. University of South Wales is the second largest university in Wales by student population and offers around 500 undergraduate and postgraduate educational courses, divided into three main faculties.

University of South Wales (USW) is part of the Universities of South Wales Group, with 106 partner colleges, universities, private educational institutions or organizations that deliver higher education programmes or courses in the UK and 18 other countries.

At USW, foreign students can study the Master of Science Aeronautical Engineering programme: this degree covers technical aspects and develops management skills for career leadership. The university is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineering and the Royal Aeronautical Society, confirming that it meets the academic requirements for an engineering degree.

30. Kingston University

Kingston University is ranked in the top five London universities across 21 subjects in the Guardian World University Guide in 2023. Around 13,000 students from Europe and almost 4,000 international students from 140 countries study at the university annually.

The university has a very good rating at employment level after graduation - 95% of international graduates work or further study six months after graduating. 70% of research works were assessed as world-leading and achieved a national quality mark in 2022. Kingston University is organized into four faculties, which include various educational programs. 

All the educational infrastructure of the university is available for foreign students:

• 3,000 personal computers across four educational campuses;

• 700,000 e-books;

• 79,000 print and online journals;

• 563 computers in libraries and 202 mobile devices for loan.

Kingston University offers the opportunity to study for a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering educational programme. The duration of the educational course is between one to two years, and the educational process is entirely in English. This course is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society and leads to a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering upon completion of a thesis.

31. Teesside University

Teesside University is a public university with its main campus in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire in the Northeast of England. The university was established in 1930 as Technical College of Constantine and then reached the status of the university in 1992.  More than 22,500 international students enter educational programs annually. Foreign and local students stayed at the residences of the university, mainly at the first-year of education. The residence is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure for good living conditions of international students with self-catering zones, recreations and study rooms.  Teesside University has additional off-campus residences that are available under the terms of the university-sponsored housing program (such properties are owned by private landlords, but managed by the university).

The university has won seven national teaching scholarships, and offers many areas of study in the field of science and research, which result in obtaining the qualifications:

• Master of Philosophy;

• Doctor of Philosophy;

• Master of Professional studies;

• and Doctor of Professional studies.

Foreign students can choose to study aerospace engineering at the Master's level. The program lasts for two years with a part-time job or one year with a full-time job. As part of the course, students study specific aspects of aerospace engineering, including advanced aerospace structures, hydrodynamics, finite element methods and other topics.

32. University of Wolverhampton

The University of Wolverhampton was established in 1827 and located on campuses in Wolverhampton, Walsall and Telford on the grounds of the new Marshes Centre of Excellence in Health and Social Care. The university has more than 21,000 international students and 2,200 highly qualified educational staff. The university received the highest possible award in the latest assessment by the Quality Assurance Agency (an independent body that evaluates the standards and quality of higher education in the United Kingdom). The University of Wolverhampton was awarded four stars in the overall QS Stars rating.

Almost 90% of international graduates find a job after graduation or continue their studies at other levels of education. The results of the evaluation of the effectiveness of education showed that almost 66% of its graduates in the United Kingdom worked in highly qualified positions at top international companies.

Foreign students can choose to study aerospace engineering with a BEng (Hons) foundation degree, a four-year course that focuses on aircraft and aerospace engineering. Students gain interdisciplinary engineering knowledge and specialist aerospace theory.

33. De Montfort University

Since its founding in 1870, De Montfort University has prepared many outstanding graduates in almost all fields of science. DMU (De Montfort University) received university status in 1992 and became a state university. There are more than 30,000 full-time and part-time international students here, a large team of professors and other highly qualified educational staff who help students realize their research and creative potential.

The educational campus is very close to Leicester Castle. The campus has a well-qualified infrastructure: 

• Different educational blocks, like own libraries, educational audience, research centers and etc.;

• Sports playgrounds and rooms for special sport sections;

• Special grounds and cabinets for creative and art hobbies;

• Rooms for leisure activities.

The admission rate is not very high 45%, but  education in DMU brings many advantages. DMU is included in the top twenty universities in the UK for the employment of its students: more than 97% of DMU graduates work or continue higher education after receiving an educational degree. 

You can find a large number of educational directions at the De Montfort University. As an example, foreign students can enter an aeronautical engineering faculty and earn a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Aeronautical Engineering. The program lasts two years for part-time or one year for full-time educational programs. The educational program includes modules on the engineering business environment, different production materials, structures and design, CFD and flight dynamics, aircraft design and maintenance.
