Studying abroad is now an unattainable goal for many, even if you managed to enroll on a budget. Money is also needed to move to the place of study, life, insurance, medical care, food. In our material, we will make an overview of 6 scholarships that allow you to cover these costs and fully or partially repay the cost of training.

Schwarzman Scholarship (PRC)
Fully budget-compensated master's degree program for Xinhua University in Beijing. The scholarship covers training, housing and table, a variety of excursions, medical insurance. Payments for personal needs are included. Applications are usually accepted until the end of September.
The applicant must show the qualities of a leader, show results in academic and intellectual terms, broad views and entrepreneurial courage. Admission is available until the age of 29, subject to the completion of the bachelor's degree.
Of course, high results are required from applicants: at least 600 TOEFL PBT points, at least 100 - TOEFL iBT, from 7 to IELTS (exams are not needed if English is your native language). The selection is divided into three stages - the submission of an online application (it is necessary to send a resume, a leadership essay and a motivation letter about the goals, transcripts, recommendations and a video card with a greeting), consideration and a final interview.
It compares favorably with an active cultural program: trips to the regions, language courses, a tutor-mentor from Beijing + the opportunity to work with NGOs, academic and government institutions. It is understandable: the task is not only to train students, but also to conduct unobtrusive ideological work.
Fulbright (USA)
The Fulbright program is addressed to students and faculty, scholars, independent researchers, and artists. It is covered by the expenses of the US state budget. Participants get the opportunity to enter one of the partner universities in the United States and teach a scholarship every month + the cost of medical insurance and flight to the United States and back is covered. Teachers can, based on the results of work within the framework of the scholarship, get a beautiful line in the resume, improve their work skills and improve their language skills, and enrich themselves culturally.
In the States, it is difficult to find a university with which they would not work according to Fulbright, but it is impossible to choose something specific - students can only highlight the preferred directions and the strongest skills. After completing the program, you will have to return to your homeland for at least 2 years and demonstrate your learned skills in practice, on the "ground".
The selection also consists of 3 stages: application and tests in English, interviews and final checks preceding admission to one of the universities. Each applicant must submit an application in electronic form, recommendations, documents confirming education, as well as an essay and resume. Deadlines for submission - from May to June, may vary slightly depending on the chosen direction.
DAAD (Germany)
The service of academic exchanges is the best option for studying in Germany. You can apply from the 2nd year; in addition to students, this can be done by graduate students, scientists and teaching staff in the areas of architecture, arts and music (Germans are one of the few who offer creative directions for dancers, directors, musicians and designers with architects).
The scholarship includes 4 types of programs:
- Summer schools;
- Student visits/exchanges;
- Internships for researchers and teachers;
- Master's and postgraduate programs.
Summer courses are a great solution if you want to strengthen German or travel around Europe. The program is not long - 3-4 weeks + a week and a half for excursions and entertainment.
Scholarships are given for a year, but if the results are good, it can be extended.
The application is submitted in 4 stages:
- Electronic forms
- Sending a package of papers by registered mail
- Acceptance from the university
- Visa and relocation.
A good knowledge of English and German, research papers and standard document sets are required. Applications are submitted by October 1 of each year.
Chevening (United Kingdom)
A similar program in the British Isles is called Chevening. It is open to Master's degree applicants from all over the world. Allows you to save on tuition fees, housing, food and visa expenses along with the move. In return, you will need the maximum number of motivational women – about leadership qualities, career, communication and why you decided to study in this country.
Of the pluses - the absence of age restrictions, the British welcome everyone. Of course, the program is open to those who will show strong results and are able to achieve success - the ethnic and religious views of the applicant are not paid attention to, as well as to the level of income. The only thing is that you need work experience. Everything from full-time employment to unpaid internships is counted. You need to specify everything, separately indicating the period of work and the load weekly.
The application is submitted in English through the electronic form. Get on the shortlist – you will be called for an interview in the nearest city where there is a consulate or diplomatic mission of Great Britain, and will be interviewed in detail on the personal and professional qualities of the leader, selected courses, discuss the information submitted as part of the application.
Eiffel Excellence (France)
Allows you to become a master's or graduate student with an emphasis on leadership qualities and work in the public sector or corporations. The candidate must speak English (sometimes French) and be over 25. The program is fully funded, you need to apply before January 10. In addition to social sciences and law, space, ecology and engineering sciences are available. The condition of training is an internship in a French-speaking country - so the student can try the knowledge gained in practice. Sabbaticals are available for transfer to another program, internship or starting a business. The scholarship will be "dormant" at this time (but will resume after you return to the walls of your alma mater).
NESO (Netherlands)
Among the partners of the program are more than 20 universities throughout the country. The scholarship can cover the cost by 50% or in full, but more often candidates receive a 50% discount on tuition.
