A trip to the salt marshes of Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia will cost several thousand dollars, and not the worst in terms of spectacles and impressions of Lake Baskunchak in the Astrakhan region can be seen for a dozen per person. Moreover, the journey will take a couple of days or even one - if you use air traffic.
Russia is full of such places, and we present to your attention a list of them in an amount sufficient to fill 2021 with new images.

Lake Baskunchak
Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni is the largest salt lake in the world, representing ten thousand kilometers of crystallized salt. In the rainy seasons, everything here is flooded with water, the rest of the time the crystals reflect the sky and play with colors like a thousand diamonds.
Baskunchak is a hundred times smaller, there is no trace of infinity, but the heavens are also reflected in the waters of the lake, and sunset and dawn paint it in peach, pink and red colors, which allows you to do damn beautiful photo shoots.
Inspection of the lake as part of an excursion group costs 600r, but from the village of the same name with the prefix "Nizhny" you can walk for free. The price of the question is ten minutes of time.
Bermamyt Plateau
It is part of one of the rock ranges of the Greater Caucasus, 60 km from Kislovodsk, at an altitude of 2600 m above sea level. Relief rock ledges and a steep cliff are in no way inferior to the views of the Grand Canyon in the United States.
The most impressive should be recognized as an observation deck on a narrow, no more than three meters, rock ledge. Those who dared to step on it, responsibly declare: there are shaking knees and undergrowth, not to mention other organisms.
The road there is completely wild, without guides to go is not recommended. Excursion in a group will cost 1500r, individual - seven or eight. For comparison: one ticket to the Grand Canyon Park costs $ 40, another dozen - an ascent to the observation room, and tours start from $ 64. On the circle, not counting the air tickets, will be more than fifteen thousand scars.
Sulak Canyon
With the American big "Failure" is often compared and the canyon in Sulaki - the deepest in Europe and astackage to its American counterpart by 62 meters. There is a characteristic deflection of horseshoe shape, but the landscapes are rather Scandinavian, reminiscent of fjords. From Makhachkala here they carry for 2200r, a little more should be paid to the guide.
In fresh weather, Sulak water gives blueness, you can evaluate its transparency and other aesthetic properties during a boat trip. Norwegian impressions will cost six to eight thousand for a plane ticket to Bergen and the same amount for an excursion.
Lena Pillars
Reminiscent of Chinese avatar mountains, these rocks are the product of wind erosion, which hewed the rock massif into several high strongholds, the largest of which reach a height of two hundred meters. The best way to explore is during water walks, and the total length of this natural sculptural group is more than 40 km.
Unlike its Chinese counterpart, this park is not equipped with infrastructure for outdoor activities and entertainment equipment, so it is more suitable for wild forays. There are river cruises from 10 000r for two nights with one disembarkation.
Ilyinskaya Sopka
This is the only case when the transport and logistics "ends" of the domestic version are longer and more expensive than the imported one! But the object is unique, so let it be – as an exception.
It is located in the southern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula, half a thousand miles to the capital of the region. The height is just over 1.5 km. At the foot of the mountain is the Kuril Lake, and the slope descends directly into the water.
With the Japanese mountain Fujiyama Ilyinskaya unites the correct concentric shape - both represent a perfect cone. These are stratovolcanoes: they are so called because they have a multi-layered structure formed as a result of numerous eruptions.
