Some students bring themselves to nervous breakdowns, they want to get a diploma with honors so much! But you always need to remember that grades are not the most important thing, but you need to take care of your health. What are the first health problems for students?
Gastrointestinal problems
Moving out of their parents, young students begin to live on their own. Many do not know how to cook, so they eat dumplings and other semi-finished products, and drink alcohol at regular parties. Of course, this leaves a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract: gastritis and other unpleasant diseases develop. To avoid this, you need to remember a few rules:
- Try to cook yourself. Trust me, it won't take you long!
- Minimize the number of semi-finished products and choose healthy products;
- Have a hearty breakfast and take a healthy snack with you to have lunch during the break;
- Remove croutons and chips from your diet - replace them with marshmallows, fruits and vegetables;
- Eat at the same time: this way your body will get used to the schedule and work better.
If you are too lazy to stand at the stove, you can buy an air fryer - then you can quickly cook healthy dishes. Fry less, and stew or bake vegetables and meat more.
Poor eyesight
Students read and write a lot not only by hand, but also on the computer. The eyes are overstrained, vision gradually deteriorates. To avoid this, start with the small and obvious: buy a table lamp and study only at the table. Rest your eyes by taking a break every 30 minutes – you can do exercises or just look into the distance. Limit your screen time on your phone and, if possible, buy glasses with protective glasses.
Curvature of the spine
Many have back problems, and many even have a diagnosis, for example, osteochondrosis. Due to low physical activity and a sedentary lifestyle, pain appears in the lower back, neck and spine. Do at least a short exercise every day, walk more, and try to monitor your posture.
Nervous diseases
Some diseases arise on the basis of neurological diseases. First of all, the gastrointestinal tract takes the "hit", then the cardiovascular system. Try to minimize your stress levels: do meditation, yoga, sleep more (great advice for students, isn't it?). If you understand that your mental health is unstable, that anxious thoughts appear, then consult a psychotherapist or neurologist.
Follow a daily routine
It is very difficult because of night parties, talking to your significant other and other things, but try to go to bed on time, preferably before midnight. Set aside a clear time for rest and work so as not to overwork, use a Pomodoro work timer where you work for 25 or 45 minutes and rest for 5 or 10 minutes to follow the schedule clearly.
A's are good! But a few years after graduation, you will not remember that you did not pass a certain subject, and you will feel the consequences of nerves due to the exam session for a long time. Is such a game worth the candle?
