What do you need to do after visiting Vietnam?

What do you need to do after visiting Vietnam?

Tourists, going to exotic oriental countries, in addition to pristine nature and rich history and culture, get the opportunity to bring home souvenirs, gifts for friends, and most importantly - vivid impressions.

And this is absolutely fair, because it is impossible to know all the joys and advantages of a completely unfamiliar country in a short time, usually you need a little more time. But if the scope is limited, then how to choose the most profitable and interesting places of interest and routes?

Let's find out – let's take Vietnam as an example.

Boat trip in Ha Long Bay

The bay is distinguished by an unusual landscape, which gave rise to dozens of legends. According to the brightest and most colorful, the bay is nothing more than a place where a giant dragon descended into the waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. And the sophisticated coastline is the marks from the blows of its tail, filled with ocean waters.

In total, in this part of the bay there are three thousand rocks, caves and small islands, the largest of which is called Kat Ba. It has a reserve park of the same name with ringing streams and waterfalls, transparent lakes and corals right at the coastline.

Among the inhabitants of Ha Long Bay are hundreds of species of aquatic (and not only) inhabitants, many of which are found only here, that is, endemic.

This is not in the guidebooks, but the best way to study Ha Long well is to rent a motor for a day or two (you can with an escort) and go on a trip.

Detian Falls

At a distance from the main routes of travelers, right near the hard-to-reach land border between China and Vietnam, in Cao Bang, there is a beautiful Detian Waterfall (among the Vietnamese it is known as Banzek). The height of the cascade of three levels is 31 meters. Water falling from such a height can be heard at a distance of more than 20 kilometers, not to mention the fact that the waterfall itself is huge (the greatest in the region and the fourth in the world).

Popular entertainment is traveling on bamboo rafts or watching falling water from special observation platforms. A few years ago, the Tonglin Gorge was opened nearby, which, along with stone forests and caves in karsts, we highly recommend for inspection.

Fairytale house

The village of Dalat hides an amazing building. It is called the "Guest House of Hang Nga", but among the people and among experienced travelers it is known as the "Madhouse". It's not about the guests, but about the architecture: in appearance it resembles a giant deadwood, riddled, like wormholes, with dozens of burrows. Outside and in the passages there are stylizations resembling mushrooms or fabulous animals, in several places everything is entangled in a web (spiders, fortunately, are not), quite frightening in appearance, evoking thoughts of giant arachnids and dark elves.

With the main task, the house also copes well, the number of rooms is diverse and very comfortable, there are a couple of rooms for newlyweds and suites.

Champa Towers

In the VII-XII centuries, the inhabitants of the Champa kingdom erected eight towers, of which four have survived to this day. They are dedicated to the local deity Yang Ino Ponagar and serve for worship. Residents of Vietnam believe that the towers provide Nha Trang with protection from the forces of evil. The most frequent guests of the towers and the surrounding lands are Buddhist monks and tourists, who were left to inspect the North Tower. The entrance is guarded by Shiva, and inside, in the meditation hall, the presence of higher forces is felt.

Island of 99 mountains

The largest Vietnamese island and concurrently a resort area is called Phu Quoc, or the Island of 99 Mountains. 85% of the island territory is occupied by fukuoka National Park, home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. The remaining 15% of the island's land is excellent beaches of the highest class with the purest ocean water and farms where pearls are grown. Its best samples are then sent to Amsterdam and London, but some successful samples can be found in shops nearby.

Acquaintance with Fukuoka is best to start with a visit to the multi-storey museum of Koi Nguon.

Ninh Binh Caves

There are many natural sites in the northern part of the country, but none of them can compare with Tam Kok The Three Caves. At this point, the mighty Ngo Dong River made its way among the rocks, and for thousands of years a cascade of karst caves formed around the channel. You can explore this wonder of the world by rafting on a boat along the riverbed, observing the wildlife and the greenery of rice fields.

The wettest place in the world

Another national park is Batma, a depression between the mountains, where from 7 to 9 meters of precipitation falls per year. The rainy season begins in October and lasts 2 months. In Batma, thanks to fantastic natural conditions, you can harvest 3-4 crops per year, and over 3,000 mushrooms and plants grow in the wild. Rhododendron is especially popular: thousands of people gather to admire its flowering.

The complex of temples of Michon dates back to the heyday of the Champan Empire, here they serve the god Shiva. In the best years, more than seven dozen temples could be found here, and colorful religious festivals attracted emperors, saints and nobility.

Now the temples have turned into ruins, retaining, however, their sacred status and an important role for the history of Vietnam. It is best to study Michonne as part of a tour group or with a guide, otherwise there is a chance to get lost.

Spotted deer

There are three islands in Nha Trang Bay, the largest being Hon Thi. Its guests can enjoy the views and quaint landscape, where gardens, mountains, cliffs, islands and shady crevices are amazingly combined. All this diversity is densely populated with a variety of flora and much less mottled fauna: the population of friendly spotted deer is complemented by African ostriches, which you can even ride on horseback (only carefully - a fall is fraught with fractures!).

Fishing villages

In the neighborhood of the resort area of Phan Thiet is the village of Muine, whose whole life is connected with fishing. Arriving here, you can look at the traditional way of life and fishing vessels of fishermen, which, it seems, have not changed at all in a thousand years.
