There are many beautiful dive sites in the world, each with its own unique beauty and unique opportunities for beginners and professionals. Here you can feel harmony with nature and feel inner peace, for a true connoisseur of the underwater world, all these places are real treasures waiting to be discovered. It is difficult to choose the best place, each sea is unique in itself, the choice depends on your preferences and desires! However, among the hundreds of options, we will highlight several particularly attractive places.
Great Barrier Reef, Australia
Definitely one of the top dive sites. The Great Barrier Reef is very rich in its flora and fauna, with spots for both beginners and experienced divers with caves and cliffs.
The water temperature here is pleasant, warm, up to +30 ° C. Fish of the most incredible colors and shades hide in the picturesque coral, you can meet bats, sharks and many other animals and plants, not far from the shores you can see sunken ships.
It is better to come to Australia from June to December: it is at this time that whales often pass here, and you can also get to spawn coral.
Raja Ampat, Indonesia
This archipelago of 1500 islands is the perfect place to dive. The water can be seen for tens of meters, there is a lot of beautiful coral and more than one and a half thousand different fish. Off the coast of Indonesia, stingrays, seahorses and other animals frolic.
Blue Hole, Egypt
A unique place, a deep 50-meter karst sinkhole with an incredible color of water! The Blue Hole is connected to the Red Sea by a large "tunnel", the coral here is diverse and suitable for both professional divers and beginners. In addition, the place is ideal for snorkeling - shallow diving with a mask and snorkel.
The Maltese Archipelago
Near Malta, you can find not only corals, but also sunken ships from the Second World War and even a statue of Christ. The place is unique! The Mediterranean Sea shimmers with the most incredible colors, the archipelago is safe for diving, there are no strong currents, and in the blue hole on the island of Gozo, you can literally soar in zero gravity - the sea and the sky merge into one color. In summer, the temperature of the archipelago is about +23°C.
Apo Island, Philippines
Flocks of turtles swim near a small volcanic island: they are not afraid of people at all and willingly let you swim nearby! There is also a luxurious reef. The water is warm all year round, and on the island you can take diving courses and get a certificate.
Maldives
Paradise on earth is known not only for its beaches and quiet recreation, but also for its beautiful sea: the water here is perfectly clear, the reef is inhabited by numerous fish, you can meet stingrays, huge whale sharks. Night diving is very common and popular.
North pole
This is diving for the brave, reef weary and the bright colorfulness of the warm ocean! Diving takes place in the White Sea, dives are always taken in pairs and with insurance (as, however, any "normal" dives, I must say). At the site of the spot, an ice-hole is first sawn, then a tent is set up for diving. The Arctic is unique with its ice caves, icebergs and a variety of fauna – yes, don't be surprised!
A couple of tips for beginner divers
- Be sure to go through safety precautions and study the area where you are going to dive. It is necessary to firmly understand what can and cannot be touched.
- For swimming, wear aquashoe slippers, which will save your feet, for example, from the needles of sea urchins.
- Get an underwater camera: the phone may not withstand the pressure at great depths.
- Never go diving alone!
- Be sure to take out full insurance, including extreme sports.
- Don't forget about sun protection.
