Another long weekend is on the nose - it's time to relax a little and take your soul away, devoting a couple of minutes to contemplating the beauty. In our publication we will talk about street art - the direction of graffiti. It is generally accepted that graffiti is an incomprehensible daub on the walls, blots of immature adolescents and the like. But the subject of our article is much nicer.
Most often, city street artists prefer to hide the authorship of their works, leaving personal tags instead of a signature. This is very prudent: the legislation of many European countries provides for a lump sum fine for unauthorized painting on walls and asphalt.
There are exceptions - for example, a Frenchman nicknamed Cal is engaged in creativity in Lyon. He has been drawing since the end of 2016, managed to become famous, repeatedly appeared on the pages of newspapers and magazines, and became the hero of a movie on a given topic. Celebrity.
It all started with the usual presentation: they say, the city streets are spoiled by a merciless vandal. Then a socialist became mayor, and the mores of the press instantly softened. It turned out that this is not vandalism, but street painting - especially since the pictures are beautiful, there were no obscene words among the drawings, in a word - everything is harmless.
The guy's works are characterized by the fact that he gracefully and accurately fits the elements of urban life into his work, making them fragments of paintings and plots on a given topic. Most often it comes out pretty and very bright and witty. The artist maintains an Instagram account, where you can get acquainted with old and new works, leave a comment or ask a question - and he answers.
Looking through the albums, you begin to unwittingly highlight and mark your favorite objects from the author's arsenal, which he turns into fragments of a fairy tale: walls and firewalls, road surfaces - asphalt, concrete, tiles, porcelain stoneware, hatches, cranes, wires, parking posts and fire hydrants.
