The World Education Rankings have published the results for 2024, which have identified the best universities in the world, a good part of which are in the UK, France and Switzerland.
The top 10 leading universities of the Academic World Ranking included the British Cambridge and Oxford - they occupied the fourth and sixth positions, respectively. Next: Paris-Saclay University (France) took twelfth place, improving its academic performance by three positions, University College London (UK) occupied sixteenth place, and ETH Zurich (Switzerland) took twenty-first.
According to the results of the Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, the leading universities were determined, of which most of the top 100 are located in the UK - 8 universities. Next in terms of the number of universities in the ranking are Switzerland, Germany and France. The top 50 included such German universities as the University of Munich — 43, the Technical University of Munich — 47, and Heidelberg University — 50. Of the French universities in the same range: Paris-Saclay University — 12, PSL University — 33, Sorbonne University — 41.
Among other countries in the world top 100, the leader was the United States and 38 of its universities included in the list, China already has 14 highly ranked universities. The top 15 included, of course, Ivy League universities: Princeton – 5th position, Columbia – 6th, Yale – 9th, Cornell – 10th, University of Pennsylvania – 12th place.
As a result, the world top ten based on performance indicators includes:
