In Kazakhstan, the widespread study of English (along with Kazakh and Russian) in schools from 2007 to 2022 was an official state policy. All three languages were then studied from the first grade, and only in 2022, after the change of power, Russian began to be taught in public schools (and Kazakh in Russian schools), and English from the third.
