Throughout the twentieth and first quarter of the twenty-first century, the UAE's education system has come a long way from a small network of religious schools that provided only primary education to the largest regional hub and international academic tourism center. In addition to 3 state universities, over 100 other universities are located in the country, among which foreign campuses of top universities in the USA, Great Britain, Australia, France, Belgium, Swiss universities play an important role. As a rule, such universities are located in free economic zones, they do not pay taxes (which means that the university's Middle East campus can offer better conditions compared to the "parent" university).
Over 80 specialties are offered to students and applicants to choose from. Tuition at non-governmental universities is paid for everyone without exception (UAE tax residents can count on government preferences). Teaching is conducted mainly in English, in Arabic or two languages at public universities, and in French at the local branch of the French Sorbonne.

Lectures are conducted here by visiting professors from the best Western academic centers, and teaching and management methods are based on traditions and rules borrowed from the British. What is especially interesting: if you study at a branch of an international university, then upon completing your studies you will receive a diploma without specifying the place where it was issued — that is, you will graduate from the Sorbonne or Newcastle University!
UAE universities offer international students a full range of educational opportunities, from short—term professional programs to bachelor's degrees (including an MBA) and master's degrees. The only thing is that doctoral programs are still rare in the UAE (however, international education experts are convinced that this is only a matter of time).
