Middlesex University (MDX) Dubai is the first overseas campus of Middlesex University in London. The university opened in Dubai Knowledge Park (DKP) in 2005 and has 7,100+ students from 120+ nationalities. The Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) granted MDX Dubai its initial institutional license on January 9, 2025.
In 2021, MDX Dubai expanded to Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), becoming the first international university in Dubai with campuses at multiple sites. In January 2026, the university opened its Study Hub in Dubai Media City, strengthening its presence in the city's innovation and creative industries.

If exceptional circumstances prevent a student from completing an assessment on time, they can apply for a deferral under the university's Extenuating Circumstances policy. The application requires supporting documentation and is reviewed by the university, with some cases referred to a dedicated panel.
Enrollment on a program takes place through the MyMDX portal ahead of each academic year. A student cannot be enrolled in more than one full-time program at the university at the same time. Modules are divided into Core modules, which are registered automatically, and Optional modules, which students select themselves. Optional module choices can be changed during the first two weeks of the academic year, and students can change programs until the end of the second week after the academic year begins. Campus Programme Coordinators (CPCs) support students with academic guidance and program planning throughout their studies.
