To earn a degree in architecture, a student has a long way to go, which begins with a preparatory phase. Applicants need to study for 1 year in a preparatory program or 1 year at a domestic university, then go for an interview. Successful admission requires good preparation in the following areas:

- Mathematics
- Knowledge of the English language.
This is followed by education, getting a bachelor's degree and two years of practical training in one of the architectural bureaus. This is followed by qualifying exams and registration with the British Architectural Registration Board.
