By winning a grant to study abroad, you will receive financial assistance that will partially or fully cover the costs of studying and living in another country. The purpose of grants is to support projects and research developed by talented students, undergraduates and graduate students.

Grants to study in the USA, UK, Sweden, Germany, Canada, Europe and South Korea

Fulbright, USA

The education program has been in existence for over 50 years, and during this time Fulbright has firmly established itself as a leading international scholar. The facts about the success of the grant are impressive: 43 Fulbright Fellows became Nobel Prize winners, another 78 received Pulitzer Prizes.

The main source of funding for the fund is the US State Department: annually, the US Congress allocates impressive sums for the training of foreign students. Having received an American grant, you can study in the States for free from 1 to 3 years.

Stages of obtaining a Fulbright grant

  1. Competitive stage, which includes:
  • Program selection

Chevening, UK

An excellent grant to cover expensive tuition in Britain. Chevening is a government scholarship for masters, which is awarded for 1 year.

Visby, Sweden

The scholarship is provided by a government agency and covers master's studies at most universities in Sweden.

  • A package of documents: a resume and a motivation letter, letters of recommendation describing the academic achievements and professional qualities of the applicant, a diploma of education (if you are just completing a bachelor's degree, you will need a certificate from the university).   • By January 15, 2021, sending documents to Universityadmissions.se, prioritization of selected programs
  • Payment of the contribution (900 CZK) by February 1, 2021
  • From February 2, 2021, the acceptance of applications begins: you must again send the package of documents in your personal account on the website

DAAD, Germany

The most famous German organization offering a wide range of grants for international students. Especially popular are the master's degree and directions for graduate students. The duration of the programs is from 10 months to 2 years.

Global Korea Scholarship, South Korea

Government scholarship for bachelors, masters and graduate students of universities in Korea.

NSERC Postgraduate scholarships, Canada

The scholarship is awarded to international students for a research master's program in Science and Engineering at any university in Canada.

Erasmus Mundus, European Union

The EU non-profit program provides an opportunity to study at universities in Europe for bachelor's, master's and internship programs.

  • Language of instruction: the language of instruction depends on the selected country
  • Requirements: 2 years of education at a university, high academic performance, a sufficient level of language proficiency
  • The grant covers: all expenses during the study are covered by the European Union and the home university + a scholarship is issued to cover living expenses.
