Education in Dubai is in demand, so the authorities plan to build and launch 10-15 more educational branches in the city. According to experts from the Dubai Authority of Knowledge and Human Development, by 2040 there will be twice as many students in the city as today.
Now there are about 60 universities of international level in the city, the bulk of which are branches of large and famous foreign institutions. Most of them are located in the Dubai Knowledge Village or Dubai International Academic City. Nine educational campuses are branches of British universities, the largest and most developed of these branches belongs to Middlesex University (the Dubai Middlesex campus has been operating since 2005).
