The education system in Kazakhstan over the past decades has undergone a number of changes aimed at improving the quality of education. In 1995, on the basis of the Constitution of the country, secondary education became compulsory, and enrollment in universities took place on a competitive basis. Since 1999, a transition to a new education system has been carried out, which met international standards and was recommended by UNESCO. 3 levels of education were introduced:
- Preschool
- average
- Higher.
One of the leaders in terms of the level and quality of education is the city of Almaty, the most secular city in Kazakhstan and at the same time its largest financial, economic and cultural center. The titled southern capital of the country has been and remains a city of great opportunities for the inhabitants of the republic, and an original corner of Central Asia for tourists.
