The University of Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is a state university of technical profile. The institution was founded in 2002 as the University College of Engineering and Technology. In 2006, UMP received its current name and university status.
At the moment, education at the university takes place on the basis of specialized faculties:

The main focus of sports in UMP is kayaking. For these classes, a large lake is equipped on the territory of the university, all the necessary equipment is provided.
