Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications (BUPT) is a key national university under the leadership of the Ministry of Education. BUPT is a universal university with information technology as the main characteristic, a combination of engineering, management, humanities as the main direction, which becomes an important base for the development of talents in the field of high technology.
Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications is one of the first partners of the 211 Project and the 985 Project innovation platform.

Students live on campus in the BUPT Hotel dormitory and in the International Apartments. The buildings have single and double rooms equipped with TV, telephone, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and toilet. On each floor there is a common kitchen, electric water heater, washing machine and dryer, etc.
BUPT has several restaurants: Student Canteen, Huifeng Restaurant, Xueyi Restaurant and Muslim restaurant Qingzhen. In addition, there are many fast food outlets around the university: Fuwangju, Ganguoyatou near the eastern gate, Jinbaiwan, Shuwazi Hotpot at the south gate.
On campus there is a supermarket Xueyuan where you can buy necessities and food. There are several major shopping malls around the training grounds.
