Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, commonly known as CCS HAU, is a well-established public agricultural university founded in 1970. This university is affiliated with ICAR, AICTE, UGC. It is one of Asia's largest agricultural universities: it includes eight colleges and one Center for Food Science and Technology, which offers various programs.
Accommodation, meals, prices
The university has 14 dormitories: 12 are located in Hisar, eight of them are for men, three for women, one for couples + there are separate buildings for international students. The dormitories can accommodate 1200 students.
Hostel "Aravali" is the oldest residence of the university, whose construction began in 1958.
Activities CCS Haryana Agricultural University
The university offers various clubs and community to organize extracurricular activities within the university.
- The Drama and Music Club is responsible for organizing cultural events. It was founded in 1973 and represented the Haryanvi folk dance at the Indian Festival, which was held in Moscow, Russia in 1986, participated in all youth festivals of the All India Inter-Agricultural University (AgriUniFest), won theatrical performances at the festival four times, group song competitions - six times.
- The Graphic Arts Society was founded in 1970: it offers photography as an additional activity as part of a university course for undergraduate students. Many members of this society have received awards at AgriUniFest.
- Students of the Literary Society were awarded in competitions of oratory, improvisation, debates at AgriUniFest.
- CCS HAU Mountaineering Club was founded in 1971 and offers trekking programs, mountain sports seminars, as well as basic/advanced courses in climbing, mountaineering and skiing. In 2007, the club organized a motorcycle expedition from Hisar to Khandung La, the world's highest motorcycle pass. The club publishes its own online magazine, known as HAUMC Magazine, has the world's first trekking hotline. The Mountaineering Club organizes humanitarian and voluntary events: information and environmental campaigns, fundraising events.

The premises of the university include the main campus, around which there are buildings of colleges, schools, faculties, residential facilities.
Six colleges of the university are a separate unit with their own classes, laboratories, seminar rooms, audiovisual laboratories, high-tech equipment.
The library of the university contains a collection of 300,000 books, 700 magazines on an area of 9,300 m².
The university has laboratories that provide tools such as DNA sequencing, UV transilluminator, PCR, FTIR, gene gun, electron microscope, plasma spectrometer, X-ray diffraction, chromatography.
Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Applicants of bachelor's programs (with the exception of bachelor's degree in Home Science, agricultural engineering) pass a general entrance test: questions in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, agriculture. Enrollment is held in July at two consultations.
The CCS HAU admission process can be carried out both offline and online.
Scholarships CCS Haryana Agricultural University
- MERIT STIPEND Rs – Rs 6000 for Masters, Rs 10,000 for Ph.D.
- CCS HAU Merit Scholarship – Rs 800 for male students, Rs 1200 for female students.
- STIPEND – Rs. 3000 rupees/month to M.Sc. students under certain conditions.
- Scholarship Rs. 5000 rupees/month for doctors of sciences. if certain conditions are met.
- Merit Stipend – students studying for MBA, M.Sc. – FST, MBB and bioinformatics, subject to the requirements of OGPA.
