Universities are actively introducing scholarships "for efforts to achieve a new just world"

Countries where outbound student mobility is high today create conditions for how to retain local students and attract foreign ones. One of the motivational levers is the payment of scholarships for students from different countries. Let's look at the examples of some countries that have already implemented scholarship programs.

  1. In Australia , scholarships are awarded to aspiring leaders from developing countries who want to study, conduct research, or develop as professionals in the country. Both international students and Australian citizens are encouraged.
  2. A similar initiative exists in universities in Latin America and the Caribbean, only here novice leaders receive scholarships not for the development of regions, but for studying and conducting exchange research in Canada. At the same time, the countries are strengthening cooperation in the education sector.
  3. Local master's students and international students in Germany can apply for scholarships too. The main condition is to have a bachelor's degree from a German university or study for a year in a master's degree in Germany.
  4. In New Zealand, students are offered both full academic scholarships and short-term scholarships under the Manaaki New Zealand program. Students from Asia, Africa, the Caribbean and Latin America are eligible for the scholarship project. According to the terms of the project, foreign students must return to their home country for at least two years after receiving a diploma to work there in their specialty.

Doctoral students who cannot pay for their British education on their own in the United Kingdom can apply for Commonwealth scholarships - they are offered in six areas for future innovators and leaders:

  1. Science and Technology for Development,
  2. Strengthening health systems,
  3. Promoting global prosperity,
  4. Strengthening global peace and security,
  5. Building resilience and crisis response,
  6. Access, inclusion, and opportunities.
