One of the oldest American universities, Rutgers University, plans to strengthen ties with its colleagues in India. The trend towards joint research and projects between universities in different countries does not even think of declining, so American representatives want to make their educational programs more international, to develop them even in less popular areas.
Today, Rutgers University students are more likely to choose European Union countries if they plan to participate in exchange programs. India is also on their list, albeit in low demand. However, the interest of many foreign universities in Indian cities and students has increased significantly over the past couple of years, so the leadership of the American university does not want to lag behind the general trend. Therefore, Rutgers plans to strengthen bilateral communication with India not only through its students but also through invitations for international students.
Now the US university has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, where the following areas were separately highlighted:
- Artificial intelligence
- Sustainable development
- Biomedical industry.
