School education in England lasts about 13 years and provides fundamental knowledge for the child. With the British diploma of secondary education, students have promising opportunities for obtaining higher education abroad and building a future successful career.
Primary school involves enrolling children in school at the age of 4-5 years. Education consists of general developmental classes, writing and tuition lessons, dance and music lessons, drawing and sports classes for children. Education in primary school (Primary School) lasts up to 11 years, that is, students finish 5 classes.
Then the children move to secondary school (Secondary School), where they study up to 16 years (up to 10th grade). At this stage, the educational process includes about 12 compulsory subjects.
At the end of secondary school, students receive certificates that give the opportunity either to enter a higher school or testify to professional qualifications:
- GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) – General Certificate of Secondary Education
- GNVQ (General National Vocational Qualification) is a national certificate of professional qualification.
Those wishing to enter the university continue their studies at High School for another 2 years. The program is designed to prepare for admission and is built on the basis of the selected profile subjects. After 1 year, the AS-Level exam is taken, after 2 years - A-Level. The results will be considered by the admission committee for admission to the university and must be at the level of A and A* for successful competition.
