Free education abroad: main features of different countries

Free education abroad: main features of different countries

Free education abroad is far from a myth, but a reality of the modern world. The main thing is the motivation to get an education and a good knowledge of the language of the country in which you want to study. Which countries of the world are ready to accept foreign students? Let's find out!

UNITED STATES

One of the most expensive in the world is read higher education in the United States. Like many countries around the world, America is ready to open the doors of its universities to foreign students. One of the advantages of higher education in the United States is the system itself: for the first two years, students pass basic subjects, and only from the third year begin studying the specialty. This allows students to reflect on their choices and move to another direction if they wish.

Free education in America will become real for you if you win a grant from the Fulbright Foundation, which will bear all the costs for your student life: courses, transportation and passing the TOEFL exam. In addition, the scholarship holder will receive about 2500-2900 dollars from the fund every month (depending on the state).

France

France is more loyal to education - here free education is available to both residents of the country and foreign students. The main reason for admission to the university will be a high level of French proficiency (from B2) and the presence of motivation. However, despite the free education, each applicant is obliged to pay a contribution of 250 euros per year.

There are also government, social and university scholarships that significantly reduce tuition costs or make it free.

When entering universities in France and as a student, you will be able to enjoy all student benefits: get a place in a hostel, many discounts, free visits to museums and galleries.

China

China's higher education system is similar to ours. Universities provide for three stages - bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies.

To get into Chinese universities for free education, it is necessary to pass the selection on a competitive basis. Foreign students have a chance to receive one of four types of funding: a government scholarship of the PRC, allocated from the state budget, a mayoral, university scholarship or a scholarship of the Confucius Institute. For the latter, it is necessary to study at one of the Confucius Institutes in the world and show high results in learning the Chinese language.

Germany

Germany is primarily interested in new specialists and foreign intellectual resources, so the country provides many programs for foreign students.

Education in Germany can be obtained not only with command of German, but also English: for this it will be necessary to provide a certificate of knowledge of one of the two languages upon admission.

The only thing you will need to pay upon admission is a registration fee for administrative costs and for a travel ticket.

In Germany, students with high academic performance and an active social position are paid scholarships from political foundations. There are also many other scholarship programs, due to which the costs of education will be fully covered. Part of these payments are small monthly payments for everyday expenses.

Norway

Higher education in Norway differs from many countries in its high level, thanks to which every year more than ten thousand students from all over the world study at the country's universities. The government of the country actively finances universities, which makes education affordable not only for its citizens, but also for foreigners.

As in other European countries, when entering Norwegian universities, it will be necessary to pay a registration fee of 30-60 euros per month. This fee will provide the student with a number of privileges, as well as advantageous offers and discounts.

The Czech Republic

The Czech Republic provides quality education not only to citizens of the country, but also to foreign ones. Public universities are funded by the state, so all the costs of education for students do not shine. However, the main reason for free education is knowledge of the Czech language. Teaching in a foreign language to students can stand at more than ten thousand euros per year.

Charles University is one of the best world and oldest universities in the country, which is primarily public. The multidisciplinary university offers free education to students from different countries.

Also an important fact will be the fact that students with high academic performance can apply for a university scholarship, which is paid monthly.
