Not everyone is interested in skiing, snowboarding and sledding in winter, so we have compiled a list of resorts for those who want to spend their vacation in Europe, walking along the old streets of cities and admiring nature (read - for the lucky ones with Schengen).

Germany and Austria
Christmas markets are held on the main squares of many cities in Germany and Austria: in Cologne - at the Cologne Cathedral, in Dresden it is the Striezelmarkt, in Munich on Marienplatz Square, etc. The best time to relax here is from November 21 to December 23.
Sweden
The ideal place for a winter holiday is northern Lapland, which is easily accessible by train. You'll enjoy the Northern Lights, snowmobiling and skiing in incredible parks, stargazing at the observatory and planetarium, and free time exploring the National Wildlife Refuge.
Romania
If you are not afraid of bloodthirsty vampires, then go to Transylvania! Visit Bran Castle, where Count Dracula lived. Then go to the Peles Castle - here you can watch a movie and a large collection of weapons, and then look into the fortresses of Sighisoara and Alba Iulia, where there is a mysterious atmosphere and everything is full of history.
Italy
Be sure to come to Venice in February for a costume carnival - fun, incredible outfits and emotional Italians await you! We recommend renting accommodation in advance, because there is an incredible stir in February.
If you don't like the noisy carnival, you can walk around the Palazzo Ducale, over the Rialto Bridge. Be sure to go to the Accademia Museum, where paintings by Titian, Bellini and other famous artists hang. Listen to the opera at the Teatro La Fenice and then sit at the Café Florian.
Croatia
Many tourists go to Rijeka to attend the famous carnival, which takes place in February. But if mass events do not attract you, then you can just come to the city to go to the Risnjak National Park, walk around the Old Town and the Trsat district.
Denmark
In winter, Copenhagen is a real fairy tale: the city is decorated with lights, Christmas markets are held. Adults and children will be interested in visiting the museum of the writer Hans Christian Andersen, the National Gallery and the Tivoli amusement park. The most magical time to visit Copenhagen is from October to December.
Spain
If you want to get away from the cold and snow, then go to Andalusia, where the average temperature in winter is +18 degrees. In the city, it is worth taking a walk along the Orange Square in Marbella, where the church and chapel of San Juan de Llos are located, visit the historic center of Malaga and dine at the port of Puerto Banus in Marbella.
