Many of students want to get a good higher education abroad. Foreign universities and life in Europe attract more and more young people who seek to develop in the chosen direction. However, often dreams of studying abroad remain dreams, since the opinion about the huge cost of foreign education is popular in society.
In fact, in Europe there are a number of states whose universities are ready to accept an applicant from any country and give him a completely free education if he fulfills all the conditions.
Czech Republic
The main advantage of preparing for a Czech university is a simple language for a foreign student. The Czech language is in many ways similar to Polish, so it takes much less time to learn it than to master languages from other groups.
Czech universities will gladly provide a foreign applicant with a state-funded place if he confirms his knowledge of the state language of the country and successfully completes the entrance exams. Free education will be conducted in Czech.
To get a chance to enter a Czech state university, a student must have a confirmed level of language proficiency (not lower than B2). Due to the simplicity of learning the language, a foreign student can receive a certificate of a sufficient level of proficiency in Czech in about six months to a year.
Although education in the Czech Republic itself is free, a foreign applicant must obtain a student visa, and for this there must be at least 400 thousand rubles on his bank account. This amount includes general health insurance and solvency of the applicant for a free place at the university. The cost of living in the Czech Republic: life of a student will cost him 400-500 euros per month. This money will be enough to pay for a hostel, travel and food. When studying on a budget, the student will receive a scholarship that will cover part of the costs.
Norway
The Northern European country is extremely popular with foreign students. Almost 10% of all students studying at Norwegian universities are foreigners.
The Norwegian education system is considered one of the most universal, because public educational institutions provide free education in English, and upon admission you do not have to pass entrance exams.
Norway is ready to provide a student with a budget place, but he will have to pay a semester fee of 30 to 70 euros.
To apply to the university, you must either graduate from 11 classes of school or complete education in the 1st year of the domestic university. The key advantage of the norwegian institution selection system is the competition of certificates for most professions. Additional exams are held only for a few specialties, for example, medical.
For foreign freshmen, free Norwegian language courses are held, which give the opportunity to obtain a certificate. To get into the English-language program, the applicant must provide a document confirming the level of English proficiency at a level of at least B2.
To go to Norway, the applicant must own a bank account in which more than one million rubles are stored. The cost of living in the Scandinavian country is quite high - about 1500 euros: with this money, the student will be able to rent a room in the hostel, eat and use public transport.
Germany
The conditions for admission to the budget in Germany are not the easiest, but quite feasible. First of all, most of the programs are conducted in German. It is rare to find a university where there is an English program.
To apply for the budget, a foreign applicant is not enough 11-grade education: he must either unlearn for 2 years at the domestic bachelor's degree, or undergo preparation at the college of preparation for the university. Education lasts up to one year, and at the end of it you need to pass an exam that checks the knowledge gained.
In German universities there are state-funded places, but each student must pay a semester fee - up to 300 euros. The fee includes a travel card, a student card, meals in the canteen and the use of the library.
Entrance exams are most often limited to two subjects - german and the second, chosen depending on the direction of study.
Every student at a German university must have their own bank account. The account must have a fixed minimum amount for the year - 10,332 euros. Every month, a student can withdraw only 861 euros from this account - these funds will be enough for the necessary minimum: payment for the hostel and meals.
Greece
Greek universities do not require preliminary tests, but knowledge of Modern Greek is mandatory. If the applicant has submitted a certificate to the commission, where some fives, he will have a significant advantage over other applicants.
To get a chance to study at a Greek university, it is enough to graduate from 11 grades of school, submit documents directly to the university, having previously selected up to 20 desired faculties for admission.
You do not have to pay for education in Greece, but the program includes a paid language learning course, which is held in the first year of study. The cost of such a course is an average of 780 euros. The course is mandatory for those who, when entering the university, could not pass the exam on the knowledge of modern Greek for the first time. Also, the student must pay an annual administrative fee of 700-800 euros. The fee allows the student to enjoy preferential meals in the canteen and teaching aids.
A student visa requires the presence of 5 thousand euros in the personal bank account of the applicant, a lease agreement for a year and medical insurance for the same period. The total cost of a year in life in Greece is about 30 thousand euros. The minimum cost of a Greek student is about 300 euros per month.
