The University of Liverpool is the next UK university to receive approval from the University Grants Commission of India. Now an international branch of the university will appear in the Indian city of Bangalore.
Now the campus is at the design and construction stage, so the first students will get there only in August 2026. The Indian branch of the University of Liverpool will offer students bachelor's and master's degree programs. At first, the choice of destinations will be modest, it will include only:
- Business management,
- Accounting and Finance,
- IT technologies,
- Biomedical sciences,
- Game design.
The latter direction is a unique course that is not taught in other UK branches in India. Later, others will be added to these programs.
The development of international partnerships in the field of education is one of the key areas of the University of Liverpool's strategy until 2031. The British university has long-standing and close ties with the cities and states of India, including research projects that have been going on for about 20 years. After the opening of the Indian campus, British students will be able to come there on exchange programs.
