Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR) is one of Malaysia's most reputable private universities. Founded in 2002, the institution had one campus in Selangor with 411 students. Now the university is located in two cities, providing programs for more than 26,000 of its students.
UTAR consists of nine faculties, three research centers and three specialized institutes. They represent more than 130 academic education and undergraduate programs. Teaching staff conducts disciplines consisting of 2,000 administrative staff, 100 external experts from 19 countries, 140 industry consultants.

UTAR's main campus in Kampar is built on an area of 1300 acres near the growing village of Bandar Barat Kampar, near Perak. By public transport, students can reach Kuala Lumpur in two hours.
