Australian University of Wollongong will open a branch in the Middle East, in Saudi Arabia: it became the first foreign university to receive a local license. The campus will open its doors by the end of 2025: for the first year and a half, the university will conduct English language courses, and by 2027 there will be programs for future bachelors.
The new branch is a long-term investment in maintaining the stability and development of the central university as a whole, since today it is going through, according to some experts, hard times: the updated migration policy of the country and economic costs are forcing the university management to reduce the number of educational quotas and employees in the staff.
