Students of Anglia Ruskin University have been winning prestigious awards in the field of illustration for years!
Cambridge illustrator Jim Butler, a teacher at Anglia Ruskin University received the prestigious World Illustration Awards in May 2018 competition was held among 3,000 participants from 75 countries! After the victory, the illustrator presented his work on the design of the book Blackrock Sequence at the exhibition and commented on his success: "For me it is a great honor to receive this award, I am very happy, besides this is a huge achievement for the University of Anglia Ruskin, namely for the MA Illustration & Book Arts in Anglia Ruskin.The seminars that were conducted within the framework of this course, discussions with the students of their works and my creativity helped very much, without this the project would not have received such a powerful development."
Jim's works were also featured in the British gallery The Tate, at the Museum Meermanno in The Hague and the Art Institute of Chicago.
It is worth noting that students do not lag behind their mentor, SMAPSE received fresh news on June 28 that students of Maria Guarda from Chile and Marina Ruiz from Spain took first and third places in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration awards from the world-famous publisher of children's and educational literature Macmillan.
