Lancaster University has joined the number of British universities opening international campuses in India - the university management announced plans to build a campus in Bangalore. The decision to cooperate was made simultaneously with the visit of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer to South Asia.
The new campus will be part of the British university's strategy to strengthen international cooperation and increase global prestige in the field of high-quality transnational education. Studying here will allow students to obtain British diplomas while staying in India. Lancaster University plans to focus on programs in business, management, and computer science, but with the prospect of expanding the range of disciplines in the future.
Now the project is under consideration in the Indian structure of the University Grants Commission, UGC specialists will soon announce their decision.
