It was in the United Kingdom that this program received the widest popularity among students. About 11,000 different institutions have special licenses that allow students to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh.

In the year of the 50th anniversary of the "Prize" Elizabeth II appropriated a special royal status for the merits. And to this day the royal family is interested in the program. Students are awarded annually in the residence, and the award is handed by the Queen herself or one of the members of the royal family.

The families are proud of the children who became the owners of this award. This means that the child is physically developed, socially active and spiritually firm. Higher educational institutions gladly accept such students, because the "Duke of Edinburgh Prize" greatly increases the relevance of the resume of any student.
