Description of Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU)
Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) is a private non-profit university, which is currently ranked second among the educational institutions of the Philippines and at 565 in the world. The academic path of this institution began with the fact that the Spanish Jesuits in Manila founded the Municipal School of Esquel, a public elementary school in 1859. After school, gained the status of the university and became known as the University of Ateneo de Manila. For foreigners who want to get education in the ADMU - there are no special restrictions. Upon receipt, exam results and academic achievements are taken into account. Competitive selection here is quite strict - only 20% of applicants receive a positive decision on enrollment. Possible full-time and distance learning in the university.
Education at the undergraduate level will cost foreign students 5,000 USD / year, for master's programs 3,000 USD / year. For citizens of the country, this amount is half. Monthly expenses for accommodation, food and related expenses will be approximately 330-540 USD / month.
For low-income students there is an opportunity to receive financial assistance from the university in the form of scholarships. For this, together with the application for admission, a special form is submitted, presented on the website of the university. After its analysis, a special commission makes a decision on granting scholarships.
