Antalya Bilim University (ABU) is a private university that ranks second in the country in terms of teaching and quality of programs. This institution has many well-deserved awards and titles, despite its relatively young age. Opened in 2010, it presented undergraduate programs in current and modern specialties, and then, in 2014, included postgraduate programs in the list.
ABU is also known as the university with the largest percentage of international students in Turkey. Representatives of 74 countries, speaking more than 40 languages, study, live and attend events side by side with local residents.
Among the teachers are highly qualified specialists who arrived from 19 countries of the world. Based on the results of several awards, Times Higher Education singles out ABU as one of the institutions that brings together teachers with the best qualifications, skills and knowledge to teach today's youth.
Educational process
Thanks to the working hours system, students can meet with their teachers outside the classroom and have the opportunity to ask them additional questions on the topics they studied. Thus, additional classes are held in groups and individually.

Things to know about
With the Erasmus Student Learning Mobility exchange programme, students have the opportunity to study for 3 to 12 months during the academic year at another higher education institution in Europe and receive financial aid under the programme. Accommodation, meals, prices
Girls studying at ABU are accommodated in a residential building on the study grounds, and a hostel for boys is located off-campus. The buildings are designed in such a way that residents feel the comfort of a five-star hotel and the coziness of home, so the hostels can be safely called going beyond the standard university boarding houses.
The rooms are designed for one or four students, each of whom has its own secluded place: a bed, a workplace and storage of personal belongings. The building is equipped with common bathrooms, in which hot water is supplied around the clock.
The residential area is completely safe and comfortable, as it is under round-the-clock video surveillance and security, equipped with fire alarms.
In common use in the hostels there is a mini-cinema, a lounge with table tennis and a TV, playgrounds for team sports games, a fitness center and a laundry room.
On campus there is a large dining room with a kitchen, where chefs prepare a variety of dishes in buffet format. Students can have a snack and purchase a full three-course lunch, order specialized vegetarian, dietary or diabetic food.

Activities Antalya Bilim University
ABU regularly organizes thematic events with guest speakers of leading companies and institutions, highlighting important areas for students and passing on their experience to them.
The Department of Student Activities and its directorate supervises all types of extracurricular activities, helping in the organization and conduct of most events: concerts, festivals, scientific seminars and master classes. Undergraduate students make up a large part of the department, thereby maintaining communication between teachers, staff and students.
Students have the opportunity to participate in the activities of clubs and circles of the Department of Arts and Culture:
- Folk dances,
- Theatrical art,
- Playing musical instruments: guitar, wind, drums and keyboards,
- Vocals, choir.
For three years in a row, the traditional sports competition has been held on campus for students of preparatory classes who have just started studying at ABU. The tournament includes popular team sports, the winners of each of which receive cups, medals and various gifts. The following competitions are held annually:
- Rector's Cup – football tournament (on a field with artificial turf),
- Global Fair Cup – football and streetball,
- Football tournament among ten teams of foreign students (artificial field),
- May 19 Cup - football in the sports hall, streetball, mini-football.
Women's and men's teams participate in the competition.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
Foreign applicants wishing to enroll in ABU programs must provide:
- Completed registration form,
- Diploma of the previous stage of study: school (certificate) or bachelor's degree program,
- Transcripts with grades and reports on the passed exams,
- Passport-size photograph,
- Personal documents: passport, visa or residence permit for a long stay in Turkey, health insurance, vaccination certificate,
- Results of the english or Turkish language test: TOEFL iBT (from 80), YDS or YÖKDİL (from 60),

Scholarships Antalya Bilim University
ABU offers four types of scholarships for international students:
- Achievement Scholarship
It is offered to students who already have an average score of 3.30 or higher (out of 4.00) upon enrollment.
- Athletic Scholarship
Encourages students who participate in sporting activities on behalf of the university.
- Disability Scholarship
Students with disabilities are given a discount on tuition fees in proportion to the degree of their disability. Students with a disability degree of 60% to 80% will be provided with a financial aid of 25% in addition to their SSPC scholarships, and students with a disability degree of 80% to 100% will be offered a financial aid of 50%. The duration of payments is five years, including the preparatory class.
Also in the institution, each student gets the opportunity to receive an additional scholarship:
- The first ten applicants receive a 25% discount,
- Foreign students who score 70 or more points in secondary school may be eligible for an academic scholarship,
- Scores for national and international examinations can be taken into account to receive a larger scholarship amount,
- The first student to enroll from any new country not currently represented at the university will receive a scholarship of 75%.
