If there are people in the world who love tea and adrenaline equally, they should go to China, to Mount Huashan. It is on this mountain that the world's most dangerous hiking trail is located, at the end of which extreme sports enthusiasts and those who like to look their fears in the eye are waiting for a tea house. This house is located at an altitude of almost 2200 meters, and visitors will be able to taste a cup of tea, admiring the fascinating views.
Mount Huashan is the most important place for people who profess Taoism. A Taoist temple was built in this place 2300 years ago, and since then monks and pilgrims have come here, living around the mountain and on one of its peaks. Many years ago, a network of dangerous paths was laid to the five peaks of Huashan, which lead to sacred buildings – a tea house is one of them. The tops of the mountain together form the shape of lotus petals, so for Taoist monks this place is sacred.
When tourists learned about the mountain and its trails, the Chinese authorities strengthened the structures so that people did not fall from them, but this did not help the reputation of the trails. A hundred people fall down from a huge height every year when trying to walk along the trail. Some parts of the trail are in such poor condition that at any load they can break and kill another person. Sometimes on the trail there are steps that the monks hollowed out right in the mountain.
Despite the fact that the path to the tea house is very dangerous, hundreds and thousands of tourists still come to the trail and try to get to its end.
