Educational process

Webster University operates on 4 continents, in 9 countries of the world. Students have the opportunity to participate in academic exchange, study in different countries, which will expand their experience and deepen their knowledge and skills.

Webster Athens compiles a special Dean's List, which includes students with exceptional academic success. The list is compiled and updated every semester: applicants must receive a minimum of 12 educational credits (12 hours), successfully complete all coursework and earn a GPA of 3.80 or more.

Accommodation, meals, prices

Webster Athens offers its students comfortable accommodation in the Plaka area, literally a 2-5 minute walk from the academic buildings. These are cozy, completely independent and equipped apartments: furniture, refrigerator and stove, washing machine, kitchen utensils and appliances, air conditioning, wireless network access (ADSL). Each student has a closet for things and a desk for classes.

In the neighborhood of residential apartments there is everything that you will need for life: cafes, shops and supermarkets, galleries and shops, cultural monuments and objects (for example, the Acropolis), several public transport stops.

The cost of living depends on the course on which the student is studying, the number of neighbors (personal or shared room), the season (summer accommodation is more expensive than in other seasons).

The educational building is located in the heart of Athens, in the historic district of Plaka near the Acropolis. The campus consists of 2 well-equipped buildings:

Enrolment process

Webster Athens has a sliding, flexible admissions policy – applications are accepted 7 times a year, with the exception of summer sessions.

Stages of admission:

  1. Collection of information and selection of a suitable program.
  2. Filling out and sending an application online, receiving confirmation.
  3. Collection and sending of documents.
  4. Passing a personal interview - online or when visiting campus.
  5. Waiting for a decision on enrollment.
  6. If the decision is positive, a student visa to Greece is issued.

All applications are considered by the admissions committee and a potential supervisor. Your task is to convince them of your high potential, demonstrate academic performance and rigor, confirm work experience (if any).

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

The following documents are required from the applicant:

  • Certified copy of diploma/school certificate; If the applicant graduated from a non-American school, the points must be transferred to the American system. GPA — from 2.5 on a 4-point scale.
  • Bachelor's degree transcripts with a list of completed bachelor's courses (for applicants to the magistracy),
  • Essay (500 words) on the selected topic:
    • The experience that shaped your goals for the future,
    • How the chosen program will help your career or achieve your goals.
  • Two letters of recommendation (from teachers, supervisor, colleagues),
  • Proof of the appropriate level of English is TOEFL or IELTS certificates. TOEFL from 575 points (paper-based test) or from 89 points (iBT), IELTS - from 6.5.
  • Resume and curriculum vitae,
  • A copy of the identity card (passport).

All documents must be translated into English (by an accredited translator) and notarized.

If the level of English of the applicant is not enough for successful study, but otherwise he meets the criteria, he is assigned English as a second language (ESL) courses, and he himself is conditionally enrolled.

Scholarships Webster University Athens

Students can study at Webster Athens using credits and scholarships. The main ones are:

  • Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Applications are submitted until March 1 (but can be accepted throughout the year). Approved by Webster University in the United States. The FAFSA does not pay 100% of the tuition, but is based on the financial condition of the student's family, covering the missing amount; cannot be spent on accommodation and transportation.
  • Second Generation Legacy Scholarship - for those whose relatives have already studied at Webster University. Available for full-time bachelors, awarded for a maximum of 4 years. An important criterion for a scholarship is to maintain high academic performance.
