Founded in 1827, the University of Toronto quickly became Canada’s leading educational, research institution, one of the best universities in Toronto and one of the best options after finishing high schools in Toronto. The university intensively conducts research, invents and innovates. University of Toronto students enter one of seven colleges, whose history goes back to the earliest days of the university and remains one of its distinguishing features. Colleges are the home of students and offer the benefits of closer communication within the academic community.

Each college has its own residences, which offer accommodation in apartments and traditional rooms.

• Student suites are available at Innis College, Woodsworth College and Victoria College. These are apartments with 4-5 single bedrooms, 1-2 toilets, a fully equipped kitchen (equipment: refrigerator, stove, microwave) and a furnished living room. Each bedroom has a bed (with drawers for storage), a writing chair, a wardrobe for documents, cable TV, internet.
• Colleges New, St. Michael's, Trinity, University, Victoria offer traditional hostel accommodation: 1-2-bed rooms are equipped with beds, desks, chairs, wardrobes, shared bathroom, kitchen for several rooms or a floor.

Each residence has laundry facilities with washers and dryers, a common living room, and rooms for classes.

The University of Toronto is a dynamic place to study, work and live: it collaborates with academic departments, galleries, groups of performers, student organizations in three UT campuses, facilitating the involvement of university students and members of the local community in art classes.

• University life is full of interesting events for students living on campus, as well as for those who live outside it. The university is located on three campuses - in Toronto, Mississauga and Scarborough. Each of the units has its own specialization and strengths.

1. The St. George Campus in downtown Toronto combines historic architecture and a green park as a backdrop for student life. Students, staff and teachers participate in an active academic life and countless collaborative activities: Scotiabank Nuit Blanche - the annual arts festival, sports games at the Varsity Center.
2. The University of Toronto of Mississauga (UTM), founded in 1967, is the second largest UT unit with a student population of just over 14,000 people. With 15 academic departments, the Institute of Communication, Culture, Information and Technology, UTM offers 148 programs in 89 fields of study. The campus is distinguished by a vibrant research environment - many of its teachers and researchers are known throughout the world for their innovative work. UTM's award-winning facilities are located on 225 acres of protected green areas near the Credit River, 33 kilometers west of the campus of Toronto (St. George).
3. Experienced education is a hallmark of the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). Students gain an advantage in their future through a single UT cooperative program, as well as internships and practical research, participation in community life, and active life on campus. Located near popular natural attractions in the greenest area of Toronto, the UTSC campus is experiencing dynamic growth.

The university offers more than 4,400 scholarships for applicants who are awarded annually by the University of Toronto and its individual faculties, campuses and colleges.

First-year students, including foreign ones, are automatically considered as candidates for various scholarships. Awards and scholarships vary by department, faculty, college.
