The Université de Technologie de Compiegne (UTC)was opened in 1972 as an experimental university of technology. This educational institution is the main one in the UTnetwork, dominating the other three:
- Belfort-Mont-Baé-Farthing University of Technology (UTBM)
- Troyes University of Technology (UTT)
- China-Europe University of Technology Guy Shan (UTSEUS).
UTC is a model of education in which engineering, humanities, social and economic sciences are harmoniously integrated into the service of an engineer, scientist, manager. The University attaches great importance to innovation and support of the ideas of its students.
The University of Compiègne has six priority areas of study:

ALESC helps students find accommodation in Compiègne. The university also has a cooperation agreement with CROUS, which provides accommodation in 26 cities. Accommodation offered by CROUS:

Admission dates and extra charges
UTC educational programs are flexible thanks to the cumulative system of courses or units of value (UV), scattered over 2 semesters. Each UV system is 4 or 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System). The annual workload of a UTC student is 60 ECTS (approximately 12 UV). There are 16 weeks of study in one semester. Exchange students spend 1-2 semesters in UTC depending on the program.
Monthly expenses include:

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
For admission to the magistracy will be required:
- Application submitted from 1 to 15 March
- Registration fee = 3 770€
- Knowledge of French is not lower than A2 (TCF, DELF or DALF certificate) or English not lower than A2 level (TOEIC, TOEFL, BULATS, CLES or IELTS certificate).
For future engineers, the rules of admission are as follows:
- Submit an online application on the official website of the university in the period from January 20 to April 20
- Pass an individual interview
- Pay registration fee = 95€
- Have confirmed L3 in the field of selected training, i.e. up to 30 possible ECTS.
For doctoral students you will need:
- Choose a dissertation topic
- Contact a selected researcher from a number of teachers
- Find out the details of financing - they are individual for each applicant.
