Description of University of Caen Normandy
University of Caen Normandy is a non-profit higher educational institution located in France. UNICAEN first opened the doors to students in 1432. The main building of the educational institution is located in Cana.

Things to know about
The Caen campus has maintained a tradition of artistic presence since 1957: as soon as the campus was rebuilt after the war, the university began inviting well-known contemporary artists at the initiative of rector Pierre Daure and architect Henry Bernard.

Campus infrastructure is regularly upgraded through a student participatory budget funded by CVEC contributions. The first round of the budget totaled 30,000 euros, and the second round 60,000 euros, with nearly a thousand students choosing four projects in the second round. The budget has funded free-access dining areas, a rest area on campus 1, and ongoing distribution of hygiene products. New hygiene product dispensers, drinking fountains, and lockers were added later.
