The University of Austin has started the academic year and opened its doors to the first undergraduate students on September 2! After graduation, students will be awarded degrees in STEM, art, politics, economics, and more. The cost of tuition for a year at the new university is about $32,000, and the university administration promised to pay 100 scholarships covering all four years of study to the first cohort of bachelors.
A bit of the history of the University of Austin: the institution was originally called UATX, and three years ago its administration came up with the idea of creating a new and relevant educational institution in response to public concerns about freedom of speech and the culture of censorship in other US universities. The state of Texas approved the University of Austin in 2023 and granted it permission to issue state-recognized diplomas. The accreditation of the university is still in progress, but this does not prevent students from pursuing higher education at the University of Austin right now.
