Sam Ratulangi University (UNSRAT) is a public educational institution. The foundation of the institution began in 1954, when local universities began the process of connection. The basis of the university was the Faculty of Law.

The main campus is located in Manado, North Sulawesi. In the buildings of the faculties there are classrooms, practical laboratories, large computer classes, WiFi is available throughout the territory. For sports activities on campus there are outdoor areas, a stadium with jogging tracks, as well as gyms and games halls.
The university has a language unit, where courses of English, German, Japanese, French, Indonesian are held. Preparatory lessons for the TOEFL are held for all students.
