Indonesian Computer University (UNIKOM) is a private organization of higher education.

The institution was originally part of the German-Indonesian Institute for Computer Education, founded in July 1994. Since 2000-2001, the university has been operating autonomously, since then accepting more than 3,000 new applicants. In 2015-2016, more than 15,000 students from different parts of Indonesia, as well as foreign countries, studied at UNIKOM.

Activities Indonesian Computer University

The main community of students - the Student Association - organizes many thematic events, manages sections and clubs, maintains communication between students and the management department of UNIKOM.

Areas of additional education that contribute to the development of student talents:

  • Sports: basketball, badminton, football, chess, various types of wrestling
  • Creativity: photography, music, vocals, dancing.

Every year the university holds lectures, master classes on various topics: from social, scientific, environmental to creative, sports, innovative.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol

Requirements for applicants to undergraduate programs:

  • High school diploma in English
  • Transcript of completed courses
  • Letter of recommendation from the teacher of the school
  • Motivation letter
  • Certificate of English proficiency TOEFL/IELTS.

Applicants to master's and postgraduate programs should be provided with:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (S1/S2)
  • Transcript of courses taken
  • Letter of recommendation from two university teachers
  • Motivation letter
  • Dissertation proposal
  • Certificate of English proficiency TOEFL/IELTS.

International students must provide:

  • Passport with a validity of at least 2 years
  • Student Visa
  • Fully covered medical insurance
  • Financial guarantee confirmed by a bank statement
  • Medical certificate, policy with vaccinations.

Acceptance of documents takes place before the beginning of each semester.

- we recommend to apply 6-9 months before the start of the course (some camps and schools offer discounts for early booking or for lengthy study programs)
- there are some very popular and high demand children's camps, where the applications need to be submitted 1 year in advance (in particular Switzerland , Great Britain , USA , Canada , Austria)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the training program,
- some schools have a specific time frame (September-November - please specify an individual school)
- some schools require tests in several stages (UKISET, internal tests of the school: English, mathematics, logics, subjects, interview, some require a personal visit)
- we recommend to apply one year before the start of the program,
- for Foundation and Pathway programs, IELTS and TOEFL certificates are usually required, respectively

- recommended submission one year before the start of the program,
- the deadline normally closes in January, for TOP HEIs and, as a rule, in March in other universities
- for a bachelor, a Foundation or Pathway preparatory program a completed A-level, IB, High School + IELTS / TOEFL are required
- for Masters you need a graduated higher education, in some cases you need a pre-Masters program
- MBA requires completed higher education, work experience preferably at least 2-3 years, etc.
