First-graders in schools in England and Wales show lower results every year than their predecessors - this is the conclusion made by Savanta specialists after a research analysis. Kids are admitted to local schools from the age of four: previously, by this age, they were physically strong enough and had fine motor skills, but not today.
3 main reasons that, according to teachers and parents, affect the situation with preparation for school:
- An increase in prices for everything that makes adults devote most of their time to work, and not to the development of children.
- The consequences of the coronavirus, during which the access of children to preschool preparation outside the home was limited.
- Reduction of assistance from medical staff, who normally have to come to families at least five times to examine babies under five years old.
Of the frequent problems that children observe teachers in British schools: inability to use the toilet, an insufficiently strong muscle frame, a poorly developed sense of coordination.
To get rid of the sources and the problems themselves, the UK authorities plan to build additional kindergartens across the country and increase the number of supports and services for families with young children.
