Huizhou University (HZU) is a higher education institution in southern China. The basis of the university was a pedagogical school, opened in 1946, since March 2000 it has been reformed into a provincial university.
HZU offers 58 undergraduate programs, 18 diploma specializations. The teaching staff of 1,065 teachers - professors and associate professors - teach about 19,000 students, about 2,000 of whom are trained online.

HZU has many student organizations of various fields: science, technology, art, culture, sports. Project competitions, musical performances, international conferences, scientific seminars are held annually. The school year begins in September, the education is built on two semesters with final sessions at the end of each of them. Classes are held from Monday to Friday, sometimes on Saturday.
