The event that many in the education sector in the United States of America have been waiting for: Harvard University has become the legal winner in the confrontation with the administration of President Donald Trump. The university has been refunded several billion dollars in federal research grants.
We remind you that they were previously suspended by the government of the country.
The freezing of funding was declared illegal by the Boston District Court. In addition, Judge Allison Burroughs accepted the request of the university administration and introduced a permanent injunction that will prevent the presidential administration from suspending and delaying other grants in the future without good reason.
However, representatives of the White House do not think of giving up and plan to appeal the court's decision. Officials insist that Harvard University is not worthy of taxpayer money or any other material support because it has created discriminatory living and learning conditions on its campus.
