Covenant University (CU) is a private university distinguished by the quality of education among universities in Nigeria.
The foundation of the institution was started in 1999, but only in 2002 the campus began to accept the first applicants. The university is affiliated with the World Church of the Living Faith, is a member of several associations: Commonwealth universities, African universities, the National Commission of Universities.
Students are educated at four colleges:
- Business, Social Sciences
- Leadership Development Studies
- Engineering
- Science, technology.
Accommodation, meals, prices
The university has ten dormitories: 5 male and 5 female. Living quarters are designed for 9236 students. Each of the ten dormitories has common areas: lounges, kitchens, showers and toilets, pantries, beauty salons, administrative departments of assistance.
Dormitory for male/female postgraduate students – two buildings of four floors with 200 rooms. Two students live in each room. The buildings are equipped with cafeterias that can accommodate from 1000 to 1500 people.
Guest houses serve relatives, friends of students, visiting teachers. The houses are equipped with suites, mini suites and rooms of standard view. The buildings also have conference rooms, master classes.
There are three large cafeterias on campus where staff and students can sample both local and continental dishes.
In the Village of Professors, Staff Suites, New Estate , blocks have been built for the accommodation of teachers and staff.
Activities Covenant University
Large-scale projects are held at least twice a semester: scientific conferences, music concerts, master classes with invited teachers.
The university organizes a program to prepare students for exams. For a change, third-party specialists are invited who give a different practice from the university.
CU students are actively involved in the environmental movement in support of the environment in Nigeria: they are engaged in cleaning territories, assistance in sorting garbage, master classes.
For those active in sports and creativity, thematic circles are open.

Facilities and equipment at Covenant University
The university campus is considered one of the ultra-modern among the institutions of the new generation. It boasts luxurious lawns, gardens, architecture of buildings. The chapel, located in the center of the campus, provides believers with a place for privacy. The Senate building - the administration of the university - is considered the highest on the territory: six floors with a penthouse with a height of 27 m. The institution owns a large sports stadium surrounded by a swimming pool, as well as playgrounds for tennis, basketball, volleyball. The University Library is a glass building of three floors with a book depository, reading rooms for 2500 people.
In the educational buildings there are classrooms, laboratories, workshops. Events are organized in specially equipped rooms for seminars, symposia.
On the territory of the CU there is a secondary school for teaching students in a university environment.

Education takes place in two semesters. Students can study at the full-time or correspondence department - the period of study differs by 2 semesters.

Entry requirements, how to apply, what is required to enrol
The minimum entry requirements for applicants are to obtain a credit level in five subjects at the level of SSCE / GCE. Completed subjects must include English and mathematics.
Each faculty has its own requirements for applicants, but in the list of general documents:
- Diploma of the previous level of education
- Declaration of Intent – essay with the aim of teaching no more than 500 words
- Personal documents: passport/birth certificate, visa, medical insurance, etc.
- WAEC/NECO results if available
- Standardized tests: SAT/ACT for bachelors, GRE/GMAT for masters, CGPA for doctors
- Sponsorship letter from parents
- Letters of recommendation from three teachers
- The entrance fee is $25-100.
