Universities with Design Studies at Cambridge Universities for International Students: Examples
- University of Cambridge. A local design course that combines the arts and sciences makes students think about global problems (such as climate change), and provides skills that will help students find solutions to them. The Faculty of Architecture offers two courses: Architecture and Design. Design brings together architecture, engineering, and materials science to one degree, providing an opportunity to develop solutions to environmental and social problems. The course is structured around a series of core studio projects that will require students to create solutions to real-world problems: from the planning stage to the presentation of the final product and the evaluation of the impact on users. Outside of the studio, students study related subjects, including design history, philosophy, mathematics, engineering, and science, which will then be applied to your design projects. While in the Faculty of Architecture, students have access to a variety of facilities: workshops, studios, flexible coworking spaces, and a new digital production lab.
- Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts.
