Astrakhan State Conservatory, AGK

AGK was established on January 17, 1969.

The educational process is organized in the following departments:

• special piano,
• solo singing and opera ,
• choral conducting,
• theory and history of music,

• chamber ensemble and accompanist,
• common piano,
• general humanities.

The main scientific directions of AGK:

• philosophical and aesthetic problems of artistic culture and art,
• history and theory of musical art,
• psychological and pedagogical problems of music and general humanitarian education,
• regional musical culture.

AGK conducts international cooperation with the following organizations:

AGK provides a dormitory for 500 beds. For meals for students and staff, the conservatory has a buffet for 45 seats.

To involve students in social and scientific activities, AGK organizes and participates in the following events:

• CA KAMMERTON International Music Competition,
• DOLCE International Music Competition,
• Conference of Master's Students of the Astrakhan State Conservatory,
• International Competition of Choral Conductors "Caspian Wave",
• International Scientific and Practical Conference "Musical Science and Composer's Creativity in the Modern World",
• The project "Big Music in Small Towns",
• All-Russian (with international participation) competition of scientific works "Folklore in the research of young scientists",
• Student project "Light of Hearts",
• Competition of the Department of Solo Singing and Opera,
• Competition of students of the Department of Special Piano.

The process of AGK formation is carried out in an educational building equipped with classrooms, music libraries, halls and dressing rooms. The classrooms are well equipped: grand piano, piano, computers, whiteboards, TV, DVD player, speaker system, spotlights, etc.

Students are given free access to the library for 37 seats.

For sports, the conservatory offers:

• Spartak Sports Palace.

At AGK, the academic year is divided into two semesters: autumn and spring. At the end of each, an examination session is held, after passing the students, they are given vacations (in winter in January, in summer in July and August).

For admission to bachelor's and specialist's educational programs, an applicant must:

For admission to master's programs, you must:

For admission to postgraduate programs, you must:

• Successful completion of the entrance test, not lower than on a 5-point system:
