An interesting trend is noted by experts of the QS World University Rankings: universities from Asia are actively rising from the bottom lines of the ranking to the center and even higher. The United States of America and the United Kingdom are still at the top of the leadership, but for how long? Perhaps this is really a matter of the near future!
Since the beginning of 2025, Asian universities have been showing incredible growth rates in the ranking tables — even long-term world educational leaders do not have such rapid rises now. Among the rapidly growing universities from Asia in the ranking are universities from Hong Kong, China, Singapore and South Korea. Experts suggest that such changes in educational and geographical trends are associated with problems in the migration policy of European countries: foreign applicants are often denied student visas or the processing of applications is delayed for several months. Asian countries are more loyal to migrants who, although they receive higher education in local universities, so foreign applicants are more likely to consider and choose Asian universities and colleges.
