Amadeus International School Vienna reviews

You can write about school for a long time, but at the request of my manager, I will note the main advantages that I specifically like in Amadeus:

  • I like that the teachers are as impartial as possible - no one has any favorites, everyone treats you like you show yourself and learn. Everything is very objective, this was not enough for me in a Moscow school.
  • A convenient lesson schedule: you have to study a lot, but everything somehow breaks up so successfully during the day that you don’t get very tired. On the contrary, in the evening, just before going to bed, you think that the day was directly busy, there is something to remember - and so almost every day
  • I like that here are guys from all over the world, so studying is much more interesting! I am friends with a girl from Morocco and a company (three friends) from France, we often work on extracurricular activities with twin sisters from Scotland, they arrived directly together. I like it (I think if you stay abroad permanently, then only such an experience will be useful)
  • really tasty food in the school cafeteria! Varied, every week we get something new special (usually on Thursdays or Fridays)
  • there is where to take a walk and sit on the grass right without leaving school - it’s cozy somehow. Here you have to learn and relax right away, super, especially if you're lucky with the weather.

I don’t do music specifically (what this school is famous for), because I can’t note anything here.

I study the IB program in the private school of Amadeus in Vienna. We chose this school together with my parents when we applied to Smapse: it was practically the only option, the program is combined with music classes at a practically professional level, which is important to me, because I've been playing the violin since my childhood. Similar options were still in the USA, but Austria seemed more pleasant, more traditional, or something ... and still in classical music Europe is stronger than America.

The IB program is a preparation for the future university: two years we have been studying a small number of subjects. We choose them ourselves, but here we need to be careful and think carefully: the curriculum is difficult, intensive, very rich, the amount of information is simply enormous. Of course, everyone chooses those subjects that he will need in the future for the university - there is no sense to pore over mathematics if you go to a doctor, for example. But if you are confident in the choice - be prepared for the fact that studies will take almost all the time.

Music helps me to relax, at the school there is really everything for music. I can study at any time in the studio, it's easy to find a partner or an accompanist, all of them are constantly grouped together and ensembles. It is especially pleasant to listen to jazz bands in the evenings - they have tremendous jams and improvisations.

At Amadeus school I go through the IB program: I decided to get a higher education in Europe, and for this I need to have a European certificate of education (IB is an international baccalaureate). SMAPSE experts advised me Amadeus International School Vienna. At a meeting with a specialist, I said what I would like and what my educational plans for the future were. He told me about studying abroad and financial opportunities. The desired option was found almost immediately - I liked the photos from the campus, the feedback of students, came at the price and dates of the courses.

As for IB program, I like the fact that there are both compulsory subjects and electives that you choose yourself: this is the best way to prepare for the university - and you know the basic disciplines. Also, you can prepare necessary subjects for you. The hardest thing is, perhaps, mathematics: I have a more humanitarian mindset, so classmates often explain something to me, do homework together ... But the teachers have no complaints: they are more than attentive, they constantly ask what explaine once more, you can take an individual lesson or consultation.

In Austria, there are really a lot of music fans - in our school there is a special department where you can get a classical musical education. With future musicians, we often intersect on vacation, various events, they arrange concerts - it's all fun and very interesting.
I think that I will finish the IB course successfully and then I will choose a university abroad - I will turn again to Smapse, I like their professionalism.

Alexey and Vera Karasevs, private school Amadeus International School

Our 12-year-old daughter Nastya is a very independent person. Therefore, we gave her an opportunity to study foreign languages, we decided to send her to study in Vienna, in the private school of Amadeus.

SMAPSE experts explained us everything, thank you very much! We wanted our daughter to study in English. She learns German as a second language. The daughter also deals with additional piano lessons.

What else we want to mention is the good reputation of the private school and the high percentage of graduates that enter best universities in Europe.

At first we were very worried about Nastya and decided to visit her in Vienna. The boarding house, where Nastya resides, is very comfortable and cozy, the staff are very polite, not like in our country.

By the way, she lives in a room with the same age from the Czech Republic, she does not complain about food except for certain moments. One is upset: she misses us and our city very much.

In the school we had an introductory tour, classes were shown, my wife and I were able to talk with teachers in our broken English. Teachers in the school are sensitive and attentive.
