Standard German course

The German course is aimed at those wishing to combine language learning and studying in Austria. The program provides for 20 hours / week. German and 5 entertainment events are organized to international students. In the classroom, students learn to perceive German by ear, to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, to master the grammar, supplement the vocabulary.
- Student age: 16 to 19 years old.
- Requirements for admission: German is not lower than beginner.
- The result of the studying: improving knowledge in the field of German, developing communication skills in an intercultural multinational environment.

Opened in 1988, ActiLingua Academy has earned international recognition for its technique and excellent learning atmosphere. Description of ActiLingua Summer Academy
ActiLingua Academy offers summer German programs in Vienna for children and young adults. Holiday Course is for students ages 16–19, while Summer School welcomes children and teenagers ages 12–17.
The academy's school building is in the Viennese Jugendstil style, in the city's diplomatic district near Belvedere Palace. The city center can be reached in 15 minutes.

Holiday Course can be booked without accommodation on request. Summer School offers daytime attendance for students who already live or are staying in Vienna.
Educational process
Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Experienced native speakers teach standard German. Both summer programs have classes Monday through Friday, covering grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and listening comprehension.
Holiday Course classes have 8–15 students. Summer School also uses small groups, with communication games, pair work, and group activities. Students practice language they can use in everyday situations outside school.
Holiday Course offers preparation for the ÖSD Zertifikat B1 and B2 exams. Summer School offers preparation for ÖSD Zertifikat B1, with B2 preparation available to students ages 16 and older.

Accommodation, meals, prices
Holiday Course students stay in a student hotel with breakfast included.
Summer School students stay at Theresianische Akademie with round-the-clock supervision. Roommates are matched by age and interests. Full board includes three meals a day, with vegetarian and vegan options.

Activities ActiLingua Summer Academy
Holiday Course includes five culture and leisure lessons per week.
Summer School activities include soccer, basketball, beach volleyball, tennis, and swimming. The cultural program includes guided visits and activities in Vienna.

Facilities and equipment at ActiLingua Summer Academy
Summer School takes place on an enclosed campus in central Vienna with a large private park. Classrooms, accommodation, dining facilities, and activity spaces are on the same grounds.
ActiLingua Academy's teaching resources include a library, a media center, and digital learning materials.
Admission dates and extra charges
Additional expenses include:
- Travel insurance. ActiLingua offers a policy for the stay covering medical expenses, accidents, baggage, and travel liability,
- Visa costs, which are paid by the student,
- DHL delivery of a visa invitation, if requested.
Summer School arrivals are on Sunday, with departures on Saturday.
An advance payment of 198 euros is required at registration and counts toward the total booking cost. The balance is due at least 20 days before the course starts. For Holiday Course, full payment must arrive at least 20 days before arrival. Students then receive a welcome letter with course and accommodation details.
There are no classes on public holidays. Missed group lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded. Individual lessons are moved to other days within the individual course.
Changes to the course, dates, or accommodation are possible at least 29 days before the original course start date, subject to availability. Each change costs 50 euros.
If a group has fewer than five participants, the school may cancel the course and refund the course payment or reduce the number of lessons by 20% without a refund.

- Students need to know the Latin alphabet because the school does not offer classes to teach it,
- Travel insurance is mandatory for Summer School students,
- If a visa is needed, the school can issue an invitation after full payment for the booked services.

The following year-round discounts apply to Summer School or Holiday Course bookings that include tuition and accommodation for at least two weeks. Each discount can be combined with other year-round offers.
- Siblings receive 40 euros per student with code FAMILY40,
- The Travel with Friends / Bring-a-Friend offer gives former ActiLingua students 40 euros per student with code BFF40,
- Returning students receive 50 euros with code RETURN50.

We are grateful for the organization of the trip for our son to Austria for the summer - I really liked everything!
Working with you is that rare case when everything from the very beginning went like clockwork. And we got a wonderful manager, and the choice was made relatively quickly, the school was picked up deftly and promptly, the documents were made quickly too, the good dates and tickets were picked up - and the camp itself was just a fairy tale, there were no comments!
The son is delighted (and he rarely appreciates something directly unequivocally). He says that it was interesting every day: both the kids and the “counselors” directly charged each other, everyone constantly talked, there was no one not interested or unoccupied in general events, games. The training is very unobtrusive: by lunchtime, they forgot, what was in the lesson today, but since everyone in the camp doesn’t communicate in Hungarian, you have to develop skills and speak better and better. A great entertainment program - and excursions (your own bus, a separate guide, also young, by the way), and games every evening, and fashion shows, quests on the territory, a lot of sports and active games, well, everything for the children was thought out and done right .

The lessons didn’t exactly go in vain.
Kerim lived in a double room with another guy - a toilet on the floor, and there is an individual shower. Very clean. Me and my son never noticed any dirt or mess, everything was always tidied up. Regarding nutrition, it’s high-quality: he said that breakfast was the most delicious :))
I liked the excursions, both paid and included in the price: a lot of new impressions, friends, knowledge. He always asking now: "Mom, can it be 3-4 weeks next year ???")
