Xidian University was founded in 1931, has already prepared more than 200 thousand graduates. The university is focused on research in the field of scientific innovations, electronics, information technology.

The university is located in the historic city of Xi'an, which was the starting point of the Silk Road, as well as the place where many Chinese dynasties founded their capitals. The educational institution consists of two campuses - northern and southern - with a total area of 270 hectares, with a building area of more than 1.3 million square meters.

Xidian University provides comfortable living conditions: three-bedroom apartments, shared bathroom, balcony, electrical appliances. The dormitory building is equipped with a duty room and a monitor responsible for the safety of student property.

On the territory of Xidian University there are several canteens, which serve inexpensive, healthy, delicious food. Canteens are comfortable, safe places. On campuses and surroundings there are supermarkets, a shopping center, Chinese/European/Muslim canteens. The apartments have public kitchens, students can cook themselves.

Foreign students are run by the School of International Education, established in 2008. SIE holds its own student events every month.

• The university offers more than 50 undergraduate programs, about 80 master's programs, 40 doctoral programs in 17 schools. It is one of 35 universities in China that has a Software School, and one in nine that has a School of Microelectronics.
• Xidian University maintains cooperation with more than 100 universities, higher education institutions in 80+ countries.
• The educational center has created joint laboratories with multinational corporations - IBM, Microsoft, Intel. The University conducts two international undergraduate programs: one at the Polytechnic School of the University of Nantes (France), the other at heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh, Scotland).
• International students are run by the School of International Education, established in 2008. It has the right to accept students receiving scholarships from the Chinese government, scholarships from foreign governments, business scholarships, as well as students who pay for their studies on their own.
• The School of International Education conducts classes in English / Chinese for bachelors, masters, doctoral students. International education has formed multi-level forms of education, including Chinese language education and preparatory courses.

On two campuses there are various sports facilities: basketball hall, table tennis hall, swimming pool, gym.

Huashan scholarships are granted to international students with a high academic level.

Sanqin Scholarship of the Shaanxi Government

Requirements for participants:

• Candidates must be citizens of a foreign country, have good health
• Candidates must have competitive academic performance
• At the time of application, students cannot receive any other scholarships.
